About

I am currently a 3rd year Interior Design major at Washington State University. My family and I moved to Washington from North Carolina and have lived here for 17 years now. We fell in love with the weather and atmosphere of western Washington. I have grown up close to nature and animals my entire life and being conscious of the environment played a key role during my time in middle school at the Environmental and Adventure School. This consciousness continued through high school and into my college life today. I hope to include my environmental outlook into all of my designs and help give people interest in these efforts. Whenever I get the chance I enjoy being outside, so I hope the clean fresh air and lush outdoors we enjoy now will still be available for generations to come. Nature and the environment seeps into my artwork and design everyday. Design to me is using our knowledge to create environments that are functional and comforting to their inhabitants. I want to be able to aid people in their everyday lives and help them be as close to nature as possible. Nature is always an inspiration for me and to be able to incorporate that in my designs whether small or large brings a smile to my face. I strive to to have a minimal carbon footprint both in my life and in my designs so I am impacting the earth less and helping to make it possible for my kids to enjoy what I have my entire life.
